Bruin Process Flow Program Overview

Creating a Lean Culture

As stewards of the university’s resources, the commitment to continuous process improvement is a core responsibility to deliver efficient and effective outcomes.

Continuous Process Improvement IS:

  • A strategic action, not an event.
  • An opportunity for individuals to contribute to the success of their work environment — whether it is from the bottom-up or the top-down.
  • A balance of both quantitative (data-driven) and qualitative (experiential) opportunities.
  • Achieving small wins that lead to impactful results.

Continuous Process Improvement IS NOT:

  • A solely top-down initiative; CPI thrives on active participation from all levels of the organization, encouraging contributions from both top-down and bottom-up perspectives.
  • Exclusively quantitative.
  • Focused on large-scale overhauls: small, incremental changes collectively lead to significant improvements over time.
