Office of Emergency Management (OEM)
Amanda served the research community of UCLA for about 23 years, ensuring compliance and safe practices as the Compliance and Safety Officer for the Division of Lab Animal Medicine, followed by the campus Associate Biosafety Officer. Amanda switched gears to join OEM in August 2021 where she hopes to add a new set of skills to her pockets as she works towards retirement in the next decade. One of her key accomplishments includes development of the UCLA Institutional Biosafety Plan and supporting tools for research use. She loves hiking throughout California’s mountains.
