Jey Ramakrishnan is an experienced IT leader and collaborative problem solver with more than 20 years of service in higher education. As Manager of Workplace IT Products at UCLA’s Digital and Technology Solutions, he leads diverse technical teams supporting vital campus systems like BruinCard, TRS, Kronos, and the Effort Reporting System.

Jey is passionate about using technology to streamline operations and enhance user experience. He has driven key initiatives ranging from cloud adoption and mainframe modernization to the implementation of the Gender Recognition and Lived Name (GRLN) policy.

His approach combines strategic vision with a people-first mindset, focusing on mentorship, DEI, and fostering innovation. Jey holds a master’s degree in Electronics Engineering and certifications including AWS Solutions Architect and Google Cloud Digital Leader. He is deeply committed to building inclusive, future-ready IT ecosystems that align with UCLA’s mission.
