Samantha Elizabeth Hamman is a Senior Project Manager Lead at UCLA Digital & Technology Solutions, where she leads transformative initiatives that shape the university’s digital strategy. With over a decade of experience in higher education, she has managed cross-functional teams of up to 70 members across projects spanning infrastructure, applications, data and analytics, customer experience, academic technology, and information security.

Samantha played a key role in launching the $62M Bruin Connect and Secure program and led the FACET financial aid modernization initiative, which replaced UCLA’s legacy mainframe system with a cloud-based solution—impacting over 27,000 students and $850M in annual aid disbursements. She also contributed to the operational design of UCLA’s $400M+ Digital Campus portfolio and supported campus-wide efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, including technology upgrades, health tracking systems, and virtual onboarding tools.

Her leadership emphasizes change management, team culture, and inclusion. She is known for fostering alignment among diverse stakeholders while delivering projects on time and within budget. Samantha’s collaborative, people-first approach reflects her commitment to both operational excellence and community impact. Outside of her core role, Samantha has served as a UC Tech Conference speaker, Girl Geek X panelist, and participant in the UCLA Leadership 2034 Program. She has also led several UCLA Staff Assembly task forces focused on organizational change and inclusion.
